SCHOOL PERFORMANCE DATA

School performance data is statistical information showing how well children have done in their SATs (Standard Assessment Tests).  This information is collated by the Department for Education and published on the DfE's website as well as on other sites.

These assessments are carried out at the end of Years 2 and 6 for primary school children or when a child reaches 7 and 11 years of age respectively.

Key Stage 1 SATs take place in the second half of the summer term. Each child is teacher-assessed in reading, writing (including spelling and handwriting), maths (including number, shape, space and measurement) and science.

Key Stage 2 SATs take place in May and are far more formal than Key Stage 1. English and Maths tests are marked externally with results being available before your child leaves primary school in July. Science is teacher-assessed.

The information gathered is published on various websites as explained below.
