INCLUSION and SEN

Mrs S Durand is both our Deputy Headteacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO).

Her contact e-mail address is as follows: senco@stmaryscp.co.uk

Her role is wide-reaching. She supports families and children with diverse needs; she also liaises with external agencies including the school nurse, counsellor, speech and language, occupational health, CAMHS and the educational psychology service. If you feel there is an issue you wish to raise with her, in the first instance, please contact the Office to arrange an appointment.

SAFEGUARDING and CHILD PROTECTION

The school has three Designated Safeguarding Leads: Mrs Vassallo, Mrs Durand, Mrs Beirne and Miss Neville.

If you have a concern you can call the school and ask to speak to one of these members of staff or you can send an e-mail to safeguarding@stmaryscp.co.uk

This e-mail address can only be accessed by our DSLs.

Please remember that during term time responses to any issues will be handled more promptly than any which are attempted to be raised during school holidays.

During school holidays, if you have a concern, please do not ring the school nor leave e-mail messages.  If you have a concern for a child or if there is an urgent matter of safeguarding or child protection you should contact Bromley Social Services directly on 0208 8461 7373 / 7379 or 7026 or e-mail mash@bromley.gov.uk,.  Urgent cases should not be referred by e-mail as this might delay a response to a child at risk of harm.

Another alternative is to contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 or by e-mail help@nspcc.org.uk.  As above, urgent cases should not be referred by e-mail as this might delay a response to a child at risk of harm.

Finally, there is the alternative of calling the Police on 999
